The Cobb Sound Suppression Chamber is designed to eliminate the high-pitched resonance or "whistling" noise that often occurs when installing an aftermarket intake or increasing boost levels on the Ford Focus RS. This resonance is a byproduct of the factory turbocharger's bypass valve tract and can be distracting during spirited driving.
CNC-machined from high-grade billet aluminum and finished in black anodizing, this chamber bolts directly to the turbo compressor housing in place of the factory plastic unit. It maintains proper airflow dynamics while effectively dampening unwanted acoustic frequencies without negatively impacting performance or throttle response.
