Replace the restrictive, accordion-style factory airbox hose with the Mishimoto silicone induction hose for improved airflow and reliability. Designed specifically for the 8th generation Civic Si, this kit maintains compatibility with the stock airbox while smoothing internal dimensions to maximize flow to the throttle body. The 5-layer silicone construction is reinforced with heat-resistant embedded fibers to handle higher temperatures and pressures than standard rubber.
To prevent hose collapse during VTEC engagement and high-vacuum conditions, Mishimoto integrates molded steel rings for superior structural rigidity. This kit provides a noticeable improvement in engine tone and throttle response without requiring a full aftermarket intake system or custom tuning. Installation is straightforward and typically completed in under 30 minutes using basic hand tools.
