The Dinan Freeflow Axleback Exhaust transforms the G42 M240i exhaust note by replacing the restrictive factory single-valve setup with a high-flow dual-valve configuration. While the OE system chokes off the passenger-side tip when the valve is closed, Dinan’s engineering team integrated a second 76mm computer-controlled valve. This allows for symmetrical exhaust flow and a deeper, meatier tone that mimics a straight-pipe solution under load while maintaining civility during cruising.

Built from TIG-welded, brushed T304 stainless steel, the system features enlarged 76mm internal tubing—a significant increase over the stock 70mm diameter. To eliminate cabin drone, the muffler utilizes specialized drone abatement technology, ensuring the interior remains quiet enough for conversation even with the more aggressive exterior sound profile. The system is finished with quad 4-inch double-walled tips in a black ceramic coating.
