Fits select 1997-2017 Chevrolet Corvette, Camaro, SS, Impala, Monte Carlo, and Pontiac GTO, G8, and Grand Prix models. This manual belt tensioner is designed specifically for LS-based engines where high-RPM performance or the use of aftermarket harmonic balancers can lead to thrown belts.
Standard factory spring-loaded tensioners are often unable to manage the harmonic resonance and belt whip associated with performance applications. This COMP Cams Billet LS Belt Tensioner (MPN: 54021) provides a fully adjustable solution, allowing you to set and lock in the exact tension required to keep the belt secure. Machined from high-strength billet aluminum, it is a direct bolt-on replacement for the OEM unit and includes a high-quality idler pulley.
