EBC Redstuff Ceramic brake pads are engineered for high-performance street use on heavy, fast vehicles. This synthetic fiber-based compound is enhanced with ceramic particles to deliver a high-friction brake feel while significantly reducing dust levels by 60-90%. Unlike traditional semi-metallic pads, the fiber-based construction is free of steel fibers, making any residual dust non-abrasive and easy to remove without damaging wheel finishes.
Designed for repeated heavy braking, Redstuff pads maintain a nominal friction coefficient of 0.5 and exhibit high resistance to heat fade. They feature EBC’s proprietary Brake-In red surface coating, which conditions the rotor surface and accelerates the bed-in process. Note that as a hard-wearing ceramic pad, full bed-in can take up to 1,000 miles to achieve optimal performance and rotor mating.
