Fits select 1997-2015 Honda Civic, Prelude, and Acura ILX. This complete rear brake service kit combines DFC GeoSpec coated rotors with 5000 Advanced brake pads to restore original equipment braking performance while providing superior corrosion resistance.
The GeoSpec rotors are cast from G3000/G11H18 iron and feature a specialized silver-gray coating that protects the hub and cooling vanes from rust. Each rotor is precision-machined to tight tolerances, mill-balanced to eliminate vibration, and finished with a non-directional surface to facilitate faster pad bed-in. Because the rotors are processed and shipped dry, they require no degreasing before installation, significantly reducing service time.
The included DFC 5000 Advanced brake pads are scorched to remove uncured bonding agents, ensuring immediate stopping power with a shortened break-in period. These 100% asbestos-free pads are paired with rubber-steel-rubber shims to dampen noise and vibration. The kit also includes premium stainless steel hardware and rubber-coated abutment clips to ensure smooth caliper movement and prevent premature wear.
