EBC Brakes GD Sport Series (3GD) rotors provide a significant performance upgrade for the E39 chassis. These rotors are engineered with a wide-aperture slotted and dimpled design that draws cool air under the brake pad surface, effectively reducing operating temperatures and preventing brake fade. Unlike traditional cross-drilled rotors, the dimpled surface allows for efficient pad degassing and debris removal without the risk of "fire-cracking" caused by through-drilling.
Every GD Sport rotor is cast from high-quality grey iron and precision-machined to exacting tolerances. EBC subjects these rotors to rigorous element analysis, hardness testing, and tensile strength verification.
