The R1 Concepts stainless steel brake hose is designed to replace the factory rubber line, eliminating the volumetric expansion or "swelling" that causes a spongy brake pedal feel. By utilizing a high-strength stainless steel braided exterior over a PTFE inner core, this hose maintains consistent hydraulic pressure even under heavy braking or high-heat conditions. This direct-fit upgrade provides a firmer, more responsive pedal and better brake modulation during spirited driving or daily use.
For long-term reliability, the braided mesh is encased in a clear, abrasion-resistant PVC outer coating that prevents dirt, debris, and corrosion from compromising the stainless steel weave. This hose is precision-engineered to meet United States DOT standards for safety and quality compliance on the street.
