This ACL High Performance Main Bearing Set is engineered for the demanding tolerances of high-output Audi and Volkswagen 4-cylinder powerplants. These bearings feature a CT-1 dry film lubricant coating, which significantly reduces friction and provides a critical layer of protection during cold starts or moments of oil pressure fluctuation. This set is a direct replacement for standard size bearings, offering the durability required for both street and track use.

The bearing configuration is designed to optimize oiling across the crankshaft. The kit includes 10 shells total: 6 bearings with oil grooves and 4 plain bearings. For the #4 journal, a grooved shell is used on both sides, while the remaining journals utilize a grooved bearing on the block side only to maximize load-carrying surface area on the cap side.
