The Action Clutch Chromoly Lightweight Flywheel (MPN: AC106FW) is engineered for high-performance street and race applications where rapid engine response is critical. By significantly reducing rotational mass compared to a factory dual-mass unit, this flywheel allows the engine to rev more freely and improves throttle sensitivity during heel-toe downshifting and acceleration.
Constructed from high-tensile strength chromoly steel, each flywheel undergoes a specialized heat-treatment process to ensure maximum durability under extreme thermal loads. These units are precision-balanced and tested to 18,000 RPM to maintain integrity in high-revving motorsport environments. Unlike aluminum alternatives, this chromoly flywheel is resurfacable, allowing for a longer service life through multiple clutch replacements.
