The AEM 21-788C Performance Cold Air Intake System is engineered to improve horsepower and torque by replacing the restrictive factory air filter and intake housing. This system features a mandrel-bent aluminum intake tube with a durable gunmetal gray powder-coated finish, designed to maintain smooth, laminar airflow into the engine. It utilizes an oversized AEM Dryflow synthetic air filter, located in the original air box space and protected by a heat shield to reduce intake air temperatures.
The oil-free Dryflow filter media offers excellent filtration and can be used for up to 100,000 miles before cleaning is required. This intake system is developed to integrate seamlessly with the vehicle's factory emissions control devices, including the mass air flow (MAF) sensor. It is a direct bolt-on upgrade that installs with common hand tools.
