The AEM 21-871C Performance Cold Air Intake System is engineered to increase horsepower and torque by replacing the restrictive factory air filter and intake housing. This system features a mandrel-bent aluminum intake tube finished in a durable gunmetal gray powder coat, ensuring smooth, high-volume airflow to the engine. Air is drawn through an oversized AEM Dryflow synthetic filter, which is washable, oil-free, and capable of going up to 100,000 miles between cleanings under normal driving conditions.
A custom-designed heat shield is included to protect the intake air from high engine bay temperatures, ensuring a cooler, denser oxygen charge. This system is designed for a straightforward bolt-on installation using common tools and maintains all factory emissions control connections, including the mass airflow (MAF) sensor and breather tube.
