The AEM 30-2852 Universal High-Output Inductive "Dumb" Coil is engineered for high-performance engines running forced induction or nitrous where spark blow-out is a common challenge. It effectively bridges the performance gap between traditional inductive coils and capacitive discharge ignition (CDI) systems, providing massive CDI-level energy alongside the long spark duration necessary for complete combustion in high-cylinder-pressure environments.
Constructed with a heavy-duty, weatherproof, and shockproof housing, this coil is designed for durability in demanding engine bay conditions. As a "dumb" coil, it requires the use of an external igniter or an ECU with integrated high-current ignition drivers. Its robust design allows for flexible mounting options, whether installed directly to the engine or on the chassis.
