The AEM 30-2853 Universal High-Output IGBT "Smart" Inductive Coil provides the massive spark energy typical of a CDI system combined with the long spark duration of a traditional inductive coil. This universal ignition solution is engineered specifically for high-performance forced induction, high-RPM, and nitrous-fed engines where extreme cylinder pressures require superior spark energy to prevent blowout.
By integrating a high-current IGBT igniter directly into the coil, the 30-2853 eliminates the need for an external CDI module while delivering significantly more energy than standard OE or aftermarket LS1-style coils. Its rugged, shockproof construction is fully weather-sealed, allowing for flexible mounting directly to the engine block or within the engine bay.
