The AIRAID MXP Air Intake System is engineered to replace the restrictive factory air box and intake tract to increase airflow for high-performance applications. This system features a custom-designed, one-piece roto-molded air box that isolates the intake air from engine heat. At its core is a premium AIRAID oiled air filter, providing high-volume airflow and superior filtration for engine protection.
The intake air is channeled through a computer-modeled intake tube constructed from cross-linked, high-density polyethylene (HDPE). This design maintains accurate mass air flow (MAF) sensor readings and factory air-to-fuel ratios, ensuring improved throttle response and acceleration without requiring a PCM recalibration. Many MXP systems include a built-in velocity stack to further reduce turbulence and streamline air delivery to the engine.
