These fasteners replace the factory rod bolts to prevent bolt stretch and potential catastrophic failure during high-RPM operation in 5.0L V10 powerplants.
Each bolt is manufactured from ARP's proprietary Custom Age 625+ super-alloy, providing a typical tensile strength of 260,000 to 280,000 psi. This material offers superior fatigue life and heat resistance compared to standard chromoly fasteners. The 12-point head design ensures positive socket engagement for accurate torque application during installation.
