The AWE ColdFront Intercooler (MPN 4510-11062) provides a massive thermal cooling upgrade for the B9-platform SQ5. Designed to combat heat soak and maintain consistent engine output during spirited driving or increased boost levels, this unit replaces the restrictive factory unit with a heavy-duty bar and plate aluminum core. With a 130% increase in frontal surface area and an 83% increase in volume over stock, it significantly lowers intake air temperatures (IATs) while minimizing pressure drop across the system.

Construction features cast aluminum end tanks with integrated internal baffling to ensure even airflow across the entire core. Each assembly is CAD-designed and CFD-tested for optimized flow paths and then TIG-welded and pressure-tested for reliability. Installation is a straightforward bolt-on process that fits securely behind the stock crash bar and reuses the factory intercooler hoses and clamps with no cutting required.
