The Banks Power Ram-Air Intake System (MPN 42225) is engineered to eliminate the restrictive factory flat-panel airbox. By utilizing a large conical filter and an enclosed housing, this system outflows the stock configuration by up to 33%. The intake tube is precision-shaped using CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) software to maintain laminar flow, which results in lower Exhaust Gas Temperatures (EGTs), reduced smoke, and improved fuel economy.
- High-Flow Filtration: Replaces factory panel filter with a large-diameter conical filter for maximum surface area.
- Thermal Efficiency: The enclosed housing prevents hot engine bay air from entering the intake, ensuring a cooler, denser charge for the cylinders.
- CFD-Designed Tubing: Engineered to minimize turbulence and accommodate natural engine movement without risk of component damage.
- Filter Options: Compatible with Banks oiled (Red) or dry (Black) filters for varying maintenance preferences.
- Important Fitment Note: This Ram-Air intake system cannot be installed on vehicles equipped with a Banks Brake.
