The BD Diesel RoadMaster Transmission and ProForce Torque Converter package is a comprehensive remanufactured solution designed to eliminate the inherent weaknesses of the factory 47RE drivetrain. This kit addresses critical failure points by incorporating a custom separator plate and upgraded shift springs to eliminate shuttle shifting, alongside a modified manual valve that ensures proper lubrication in all gear positions. To handle increased power, the system utilizes an upgraded pressure transducer and PR valve to achieve 200 psi line pressure.
Durability is further enhanced through billet internal components, including a billet steel piston to reduce deflection and a billet band strut for improved kickdown reliability. The included BD ProForce torque converter features a stamp-forged steel front cover and furnace-brazed turbine fins, paired with a cast aluminum stator for optimized stall performance. To manage heat, the package features a deep sump pan that adds two quarts of fluid capacity for better cooling and oil lifespan.
