The BD Diesel Variable Vane Exhaust Brake (VVB) leverages the factory variable vane turbocharger technology on your Power Stroke to provide reliable retarding force. By electronically closing the turbo vanes, this system generates exhaust backpressure in the combustion chamber, creating resistance against the pistons to slow the vehicle. This helps maintain controlled speeds on steep descents and curves while reducing wear on your service brakes.
The VVB integrates with your truck's factory cruise control and Tow/Haul modes to automatically manage acceleration and deceleration. It includes an in-dash rotary switch with three different modes, including automatic downshifting programs to keep engine RPMs optimized for maximum braking power. Installation is simplified via plug-and-play connections to existing factory ports.
