The Cometic MLX (Multi-Layer Xtreme) head gasket is engineered to meet the sealing demands of high-performance Gen-3 Hemi engines. Designed specifically for the LHS (Left Hand Side) of the 6.4L Apache block, this gasket utilizes an integrated stopper layer to provide a superior combustion seal. This design increases clamp load around the cylinder without requiring excessive torque that could lead to bore distortion.
Constructed from multiple layers of stainless steel, the outer layers are embossed and finished with a Viton rubber coating. This ensures a reliable seal across the entire mating surface, effectively managing the thermal expansion and high cylinder pressures common in performance Hemi applications.
