The Cometic C5475-040 Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) Head Gasket is engineered for high-output engines that demand maximum sealing performance. This gasket is constructed from multiple embossed layers of stainless steel, providing superior strength, the ability to rebound, and excellent corrosion resistance. The outer layers are coated with Viton, a heat-resistant fluoroelastomer capable of withstanding temperatures up to 250°C (482°F), ensuring a reliable seal across various surface finishes and load conditions.

Designed to withstand the shearing forces created between aluminum heads and cast iron or aluminum blocks, this gasket requires no additional sealants. Its design allows for reduced clamp loads, which minimizes bore distortion and ensures even load distribution across the sealing surface.
