Cometic MLS 85mm 0.030" Head Gasket for Select 1988-2001 Acura/Honda Hybrid B18/B20 VTEC

Fits select 1988-2001 Acura Integra and Honda CR-V/Prelude models utilizing a B18 or B20 non-VTEC block with a VTEC cylinder head.

The Cometic Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gasket is engineered to provide the superior sealing required for high-output engine builds. Designed specifically for Honda "LS-VTEC" or "B20-VTEC" hybrid conversions, this gasket accommodates an 85mm bore and features a 0.030-inch compressed thickness. These gaskets are constructed from multiple layers of embossed stainless steel, which provides the necessary resilience and rebound to resist corrosion and maintain a tight seal under high combustion pressures.

To ensure a leak-free seal across various surface finishes, the outer layers are coated with Viton, a fluoroelastomer rubber capable of withstanding temperatures up to 250°C (482°F). This multi-layer design is particularly effective at managing the different expansion rates between aluminum heads and cast iron or aluminum blocks, reducing bore distortion and improving clamp load distribution without the need for additional sealants.
