The Cusco Type RS Limited Slip Differential (LSD) is engineered to provide superior traction and power delivery for the Subaru GD/GG chassis. Unlike traditional LSDs that utilize cone springs, the Type RS uses coil springs to apply initial torque. This design ensures lower initial friction, resulting in smoother engagement, reduced chatter, and increased durability for the internal clutch plates.
This rear differential is configured as a 1.5-way unit, providing effective lock-up under acceleration and partial lock-up during deceleration to improve cornering stability.
