The DEI 10950 Transmission Tunnel Heat Shield Kit provides a high-performance solution for excessive cockpit heat soak in NC-generation Miatas. This kit is a precision-engineered direct replacement for factory heat shields that are often damaged, brittle, or missing. Constructed from a high-heat resistant material only 3/16-inch thick, these shields offer critical thermal protection while maintaining minimal clearance within the transmission tunnel.
Rated to withstand constant direct heat up to 1750°F (954°C), the material is CNC-cut into five specific pieces for a seamless fit. Each piece features an aggressive self-adhesive backing for a secure application above the transmission. This kit effectively reflects heat at the source before it enters the floorboards, significantly improving driver and passenger comfort.
