DEI Floor and Tunnel Shield II (MPN 50506) provides heavy-duty thermal protection for vehicle interiors, shielding electronics and components from extreme radiant heat. This 42-inch by 2-foot barrier is engineered for high-temperature environments such as firewalls, transmission tunnels, floor boards, and fuel cells where heat soak is a persistent issue.
Constructed with an embossed 10 mil aluminum face bonded to a 1/8-inch composite glass-fiber core, this shield withstands direct temperatures up to 1750°F. The multifaceted aluminum surface improves rigidity and heat reflection, while the patented finely woven glass-fiber backing provides sound deadening and protection against road debris. This version is non-adhesive (Non-PSA) and requires mechanical fasteners for secure installation on metal, aluminum, carbon fiber, or plastic surfaces.
