Protect critical fluid lines and electrical harnesses from extreme engine bay temperatures and abrasion with the DEI Fire Sleeve. This 1-inch I.D. thermal insulator is designed to prevent vapor lock in fuel lines, protect brake and transmission fluids from heat soak, and shield wiring looms from melting or failure. Constructed from high-temperature braided glass fiber and coated in 100% iron oxide silicone rubber, it provides a rugged, fireproof barrier capable of withstanding the harshest under-hood environments.
- Temperature Rating: Withstands 500°F (260°C) continuous heat and up to 2000°F (1093°C) intermittent heat.
- Fitment Compatibility: Sized for 10AN, 12AN, and 16AN lines (16AN is a tight fit); also suitable for 5/8" and 3/4" heater hoses.
- Material: Heavy-duty braided glass fiber interior with a thick silicone rubber outer coating for oil, chemical, and abrasion resistance.
- Flexibility: Material allows for 1/16" to 1/8" of stretch, aiding installation over existing fittings.
- Safety: Provides burn protection for technicians during maintenance and prevents line failure in high-performance or heavy-duty applications.
- Specifications: 1" I.D. x 25ft length; Manufacturer Part Number: 92474.
Note: Fire Tape (sold separately) is recommended for sealing the ends of the sleeve to prevent fluid wicking and ensure a professional finish.
