The DEI Form-A-Shield (50519) is a specialized thermal barrier engineered for direct contact with high-temperature automotive components. Constructed from a 10 mil dimpled aluminum skin bonded to a 1/4-inch thick basalt thermal mat, this shield is capable of withstanding continuous direct heat up to 1400°F. Its extremely pliable design allows it to be custom-formed around complex geometries like exhaust manifolds, turbo housings, and downpipes to suppress radiant heat and lower under-hood temperatures.

As a Non-PSA (pressure sensitive adhesive) product, this shield contains no adhesive backing, making it suitable for application directly onto hot surfaces where adhesives would degrade. It remains durable against oil and chemical spills, providing a long-lasting solution for firewalls and transmission tunnels.
