The DEI Versa-Shield (10908) is a professional-grade solution for preventing starter failure and solenoid sticking caused by extreme under-hood heat soak. Measuring 7 inches by 24 inches, this universal shield is constructed from a high-performance aluminized material bonded to a high-temperature glass fiber insulation barrier. It is engineered to reflect up to 2000°F of radiant heat and withstand 500°F of direct, continuous contact.

Designed for ease of maintenance, the Versa-Shield wraps around the component and secures to itself using a heavy-duty hook-and-loop edge closure. This design typically allows for installation without removing the starter from the vehicle.
