These rods are manufactured from a two-piece 4340 steel forging, a process that optimizes grain flow for superior strength compared to cast or billet alternatives. Each rod is fully machined and shot-peened to reduce surface stress and improve fatigue life, ensuring durability under high-boost or high-RPM conditions.
Sizing is held to extremely tight tolerances, and each set is weight-matched to ensure rotating assembly balance. To handle increased cylinder pressures and reciprocating loads, this set includes premium ARP 2000 bolts, providing significantly higher clamping force than standard fasteners.
