The Eaton Detroit Truetrac is a helical-gear limited-slip differential designed to provide smooth, automatic traction on demand. Unlike traditional clutch-style LSDs that wear out over time, the Truetrac utilizes a maintenance-free, gear-based system. This design eliminates the need for special friction modifiers or additives, making it a robust solution for Ram owners who use their trucks for heavy towing, hauling, or off-road excursions. It operates silently in both forward and reverse, engaging instantly when it detects wheel slip to transfer torque to the tire with the most grip.
