This Fidanza Performance aluminum flywheel (MPN 143241) is engineered to reduce rotational mass, delivering significantly faster throttle response and improved acceleration. By reducing the Moment of Inertia (MOI), this flywheel frees up horsepower previously lost to a heavy factory drivetrain. It weighs approximately 40-60% less than the stock cast iron flywheel, making it an essential upgrade for high-performance KA24DE builds.
The flywheel body is CNC-machined from high-strength billet 6061 T6 or 2024 T4 aluminum and features a replaceable hardened 1050 steel ring gear. For long-term serviceability, it utilizes a bolt-on replaceable friction plate made from heat-treated steel, allowing for easy maintenance without replacing the entire unit. Assembly is secured with military-spec fasteners for maximum strength under high-load conditions.
