The Fox 2.5 Performance Series Smooth Body IFP HTO shock is engineered to enhance off-road capability while maintaining controlled on-road handling. By utilizing a large-diameter 2.5-inch impact-extruded 6061-T6 aluminum body, this shock dissipates heat more effectively than standard steel shocks, ensuring consistent damping during aggressive use. The internal floating piston (IFP) separates the shock oil from the high-pressure nitrogen gas, preventing aeration and oil foaming for fade-free performance in demanding environments.

This shock features Fox's Hydraulic Top Out (HTO) technology, which provides a cushioned internal stop at the end of the extension stroke to eliminate harsh clunking during maximum travel. The velocity-sensitive damping is specifically tuned for each application to reduce vehicle sway and improve wheel control.
