The Fox 2.5 Performance Series IFP (Internal Floating Piston) rear shock is engineered to provide superior damping control and heat dissipation for late-model Ford Rangers. By utilizing a 2.5-inch impact-extruded 6061-T6 aluminum body, this shock dissipates heat four times more effectively than traditional steel-bodied shocks. The internal floating piston architecture separates the high-pressure nitrogen gas from the shock oil, preventing aeration and ensuring fade-resistant performance during aggressive off-road use or heavy towing.

Every Fox 2.5 Performance Series shock is fully rebuildable and re-tunable, allowing for long-term serviceability. The Type II clear-anodized finish and hard chrome-plated 5/8-inch shaft provide excellent corrosion resistance in harsh environments, while the application-specific valving is tuned to reduce vehicle sway and improve on-road comfort without sacrificing off-road capability.
