The Fragola Performance Systems PTFE Braid Spreader (MPN 900065) is an essential assembly tool designed to simplify the installation of -3AN and -4AN PTFE hose ends. When working with stainless steel braided PTFE-lined hoses, inserting the olive (ferrule) can be a frustrating process if the braid remains tight against the inner liner.
This tool features a precision-tapered design that slides into the hose end to gently expand the outer braid. By creating a small gap between the stainless steel wire and the PTFE tube, it allows the olive to seat fully and cleanly without snagging or fraying the braid. This ensures a proper, leak-free connection and prevents damage to the hose components during the build process.
