The Garrett GTX2867R Gen II Super Core is a high-output turbocharger assembly engineered for rapid boost response and increased airflow capacity. As a Gen II unit, it features advanced compressor wheel aerodynamics capable of producing more horsepower than previous generations. This Super Core includes the center housing rotating assembly (CHRA) and the compressor housing, providing a high-performance foundation for custom turbo builds. It serves as a direct replacement for the older 836040-5004S part number.
Equipped with a dual ceramic ball bearing system, the GTX2867R Gen II minimizes friction and maximizes transient response. The forged, fully-milled compressor wheel is designed to handle higher pressure ratios while maintaining efficiency across the powerband. To ensure long-term reliability in high-heat environments, the assembly is both water and oil cooled.
