Without a barrier, this heat transfers from the brake pads directly into the caliper pistons and brake fluid, leading to fluid fade and potentially damaging caliper seals. GiroDisc titanium pad shields act as a high-performance thermal insulator to keep your braking system within its optimal operating temperature range.
Unlike stainless steel or aluminum, titanium has extremely low thermal conductivity. These precision-cut shields prevent heat soak into the hydraulic system, providing a more consistent pedal feel during spirited driving. They are designed for a drop-in installation behind the front brake pads.
