The Innovate Motorsports 3735 Mild Steel 1/2" Shallow Bung and Plug Kit provides a low-profile mounting solution for wideband O2 sensors. Designed as a specialized alternative to the standard 1" deep bungs typically included with Innovate kits, this shallow weld-on fitting is engineered for applications where exhaust gas exposure must be maximized or physical clearance is at a premium.
By utilizing a 0.5" depth, this bung allows the sensor element to sit further into the exhaust stream, which is often required for high-heat environments or specific tuning scenarios. The reduced profile also provides essential clearance to prevent the sensor body from contacting floorboards, chassis rails, or drivetrain components in tight engine bays or exhaust tunnels.
