The J&L 3.0 Oil Separator is engineered to protect your engine from oil vapor accumulation within the intake tract. In forced induction systems like the 3.5L EcoBoost, increased crankcase pressure carries oil mist through the PCV system, where it can coat intake runners, valves, and even lower the effective octane of your fuel. This separator intercepts those vapors, ensuring only clean air reaches the intake manifold.

Milled from solid billet aluminum, this unit features a multi-stage filtration process. Vapors first pass through a fine stainless steel mesh screen to trap heavy particulates, then move through a 1/2-inch thick, 1/16-inch aluminum honeycomb filter. This design causes oil droplets to coalesce and fall into the 3oz reservoir. The knurled tank base allows for easy removal and draining, while an O-ring seal ensures a leak-free fit.
