Manley Platinum Series pistons are engineered for professional engine builders and tuners demanding high-strength components for Ford Modular engines. These pistons are manufactured from domestic 2618 aluminum alloy forgings, providing the structural integrity required for high-horsepower SOHC and DOHC applications. Each piston features a 18cc spherical dish and a 3.572-inch bore size.
Using a unique fixturing process, Manley performs skirt turning and ring groove machining in a single operation. This ensures maximum squareness between the ring groove and the skirt, promoting superior ring seal and minimizing blow-by. The cam and barrel skirt profiles are designed to optimize power delivery while reducing friction and wear on cylinder walls. This set includes premium Chrome Moly wrist pins for reliable performance under heavy loads.
