This tool provides a safe, controlled way to peel back the outer braiding, allowing for the precise seating of the olive or ferrule without risking finger injuries or piercing the inner hose liner.
Featuring a lightweight anodized aluminum body, the tool is designed for ergonomic use during long assembly sessions. The polished stainless steel insert is reversible, accommodating a wide range of hose sizes from -3AN up to -8AN. Beyond spreading the braid, the tool is used to reshape the PTFE liner if it becomes out-of-round during the cutting process and helps press the ferrule into place for a secure, leak-free seal.
