Old Man Emu Dakar leaf springs are engineered as part of ARB's integrated 4x4 suspension systems to provide superior ride performance and load-carrying capability. Unlike standard factory springs, these Dakar units utilize a specific multi-leaf design to handle the stresses of off-road terrain and varying payloads while maintaining a controlled, comfortable ride.
- Military Wrap: Provides an additional layer of safety by wrapping the second leaf around the main spring eye.
- Anti-Friction Pads: Re-greasable nylon interleaf pads reduce friction and noise at the leaf tips.
- Shot Peened & Scragged: Each spring is shot peened to reduce stress and fully scragged to prevent sagging over time.
- Precise Geometry: Features draw-tapered and diamond-cut leaves for better load distribution and a flat axle seat area for a secure, positive mount.
- Serviceable Design: Bolted leaf clamps allow for the installation of anti-squeak nylon liners to ensure quiet operation.
