The Rancho RS5000X (part number RS55388) is a nitrogen gas-pressurized shock absorber engineered to deliver refined ride quality on and off-road. Utilizing Rancho's exclusive Cross Tuned technology, this twin-tube shock features a progressive engagement valving system that reduces initial impact harshness at low speeds while maintaining firm control during high-speed maneuvers. The large-bore body is filled with all-weather fluid to ensure consistent damping performance in internal temperatures ranging from -40 to 248°F.
- 16mm nitro-carburized piston rod for maximum resistance against scuffs and corrosion
- 35mm sintered iron piston delivers enhanced structural integrity and motion control
- Nitrogen gas pressurized to 150 PSI to minimize aeration and reduce damping fade
- Double-welded loops at high-stress areas for long-term durability
- Polyurethane rebound bumper and rubber bushings help isolate road vibrations
- Low-friction, self-lubricating seal retains gas and oil for smoother compression cycles
- Includes a durable polyvinyl protective boot to shield the rod and oil seal from debris
