The Rancho RS5000X Series gas-pressurized shock absorber (RS55047) delivers enhanced control and a smoother ride for Super Duty owners. Engineered with Rancho’s exclusive Cross Tuned technology, this rear shock features a unique rebound valving system and an advanced compression phase that improves handling both on and off-road. Its Progressive Engagement Valving is custom-tuned to minimize initial impact harshness at low speeds while maintaining stability during heavy-duty use.

Built for durability in extreme environments, the RS55047 features a 16mm nitro-carburized piston rod to resist corrosion and double-welded loops at critical stress points. The large twin-tube body is nitrogen-charged to 150 PSI to minimize fluid aeration and fading, ensuring consistent damping performance even as internal temperatures reach up to 248°F.
