The Rancho RS5000X shock absorber (RS55382) utilizes an innovative valving system and advanced compression phase to improve handling both on and off-road. Engineered with a large twin-tube body and filled with all-weather fluid, this shock is designed to withstand internal temperatures ranging from -40 to 248°F, ensuring consistent performance in extreme environments. The nitrogen gas charge is pressurized to 150 PSI to minimize air-to-oil mixture, effectively reducing damping fade and foaming during heavy use.

Built for durability, the RS5000X features a 16mm nitro-carburized piston rod to resist scuffs and corrosion, complemented by double-welded loops at critical stress areas. The Progressive Engagement Valving is custom-tuned for each vehicle application to reduce initial impacts at low speeds, while the fluon-banded piston and polyurethane rebound bumper help absorb ride harshness.
