The Rancho RS5000X (RS55147) rear shock absorber is engineered to bridge the gap between street comfort and off-road control. Utilizing a unique Progressive Engagement Valving (PEV) system, this shock minimizes initial impacts at low speeds while providing consistent damping during high-speed transitions. The 150 PSI nitrogen gas charge works in tandem with all-weather fluid to reduce aeration and oil foaming, ensuring the shock maintains its performance even when internal temperatures reach up to 248°F.

Built for durability in demanding environments, the RS5000X features a 16mm nitro-carburized piston rod to resist scuffs and corrosion. The 35mm sintered iron piston and double-welded loops at high-stress areas provide the structural integrity needed for towing, hauling, or trail use. A polyvinyl protective boot is included to shield the rod and seal from road debris and contaminants.
