Unlike standard on/off switches, this sensor provides the variable input necessary for the fan's internal controller to modulate speed based on real-time cooling requirements.

This sensor monitors coolant temperatures within the 175-195 degree window, allowing the brushless fan to gradually increase its RPM as heat rises.
