Fits 1964-1972 GM A-Body vehicles, including Buick Skylark/Special, Chevrolet Chevelle/El Camino, Oldsmobile 442/Cutlass, and Pontiac GTO/LeMans/Tempest.
Designed to reinforce the factory upper and lower rear trailing arm mounts, these UMI Performance frame braces are essential for high-horsepower or heavy-use classic A-Bodies. Increased torque can stress, bend, or even snap factory mounts; these tubular reinforcements tie the upper and lower control arm mounting points together to distribute loads and provide a more rigid rear suspension geometry.
Each brace is manufactured from heavy-duty DOM steel tubing and precision TIG welded for maximum strength. The adjustable design ensures a perfect fit even on chassis with production tolerances or age-related shift. Installation is straightforward using the included high-strength fasteners.
