A common limitation of modern independent front suspension (IFS) 4WD vehicles is the narrow alignment adjustment range, which becomes critical when the vehicle is lifted more than 1 inch. Lifting often leads to insufficient caster and camber, ball joint binding, and contact between the upper control arm and the coilover strut.
