The ACT 6-pad sprung race disc (MPN 6214510) is engineered for high-horsepower street and track applications where aggressive engagement and rapid gear changes are critical. By utilizing premium ceramic friction materials, this disc offers high heat tolerance and moderate wear rates while providing 28% more torque capacity than typical organic materials.
The hub construction features wraparound spring windows and thicker retainer stampings to reduce stress concentrations. A heat-treated, spring steel drive plate provides necessary support and increases overall reliability under high-stress conditions. Note that this design may result in mild to moderate gear rattle.
